When Cody from Wild Sun Winery dropped off this freshly dumped Icarus Port barrel, it felt like the start of a Missouri tradition with a Wisconsin heartbeat. We didn’t rush it. We let the green Honduras beans rest in that French Oak for months, allowing the beans to absorb what was left of the port in the barrel.

This is a 'Puttin' on the Ritz' coffee with a ton of soul. It opens with the sophisticated aroma of decanted port and dark vanilla, but the palate is as comforting as a dark chocolate truffle. As it cools, the mouthfeel thickens—becoming rich and velvety with a touch of  toasted praline.

This coffee's versatility shines whether you're going sweet or savory. Pair it with a ham dinner where the fruit and tannin notes complement the glaze, or serve it alongside a berry-drizzled cheesecake with port wine reduction sauce for a dessert experience that brings the journey full circle.

The journey took months, but just like a good vintage or a long winter, it was worth every minute. We had a barrel of fun aging this coffee and now it's time to Roll Out the Barrel.
